Description
Staunton House is a mid-19th century, late Georgian, three-storey, two-window house. It features a pebbledash exterior on rubble with a cement eaves band and plinth. The moderately pitched slate roof has oversailing eaves supported by paired brackets and a pebbledashed stack.
The second floor has shallow upper sashes with nine panes in each window, set above a heavy dentil cornice that is cement rendered. The first floor has twelve-pane sash windows, while the ground floor windows are similar but offset to the right.
On the left side, there is a classical doorcase with reeded pilasters, an open pediment, and dentils. The round arched doorway is topped by a segmental fanlight above a modern panelled door.
To the extreme left, there is a round arched tunnel passage with a cement architrave, and within the passage, timber scantling can be seen against the rubble wall.
