Description
1 Wind Street is a late 19th-century house and shop with a stucco front and a slate roof, featuring modern brick end stacks. The building is two stories tall and has a three-window range with 4-pane sash windows. The ground floor showcases an impressive full-width jeweller's shopfront from the late 19th century, consisting of five lights and a door to the right. The lights and doorway have flattened arched heads, with the doorway being slightly wider and including an overlight and recessed double doors. There are three slim piers with brackets and a fascia that displays the shop name in gold lettering: 'Watchmaker E Davies Jeweller'. Behind the overlight, there is a fixed clock with the inscription 'John E Jones Watchmaker, Llandysul' on the dial. Inside the shop window, there are two iron columns stamped with 'D Davies, Bridgend'.
