Description
Carreg Llys is a later 19th-century house and warehouse. The house features unpainted roughcast walls, while the warehouse is finished in stucco. Both buildings have slate roofs and yellow brick stacks with blue brick angles.
The house has a two-storey front with three windows, each fitted with 12-pane sashes and slate sills, and a central door. The door is a four-panel design with an overlight, set within an elegant pilastered doorcase topped with a cornice on brackets. There is a narrow forecourt that is enclosed by wire rails, which have an attractive intersected ogee pattern above the top rail.
Adjoining the house is the warehouse, which has a continuous roof and a three-storey, two-bay front. To the right, there is a shop entry and a window, while above, there are loading doors on each floor set in recesses with triangular heads and pulley wheels under the eaves gable. To the left, there is a three-pane shop window in a timber surround, flanked by brackets supporting a fascia and cornice. Each floor above has a nine-pane sash window with slate sills.
