Description
Maesnewydd is a two-storey building featuring pebbledash with unpainted stucco dressings and a slate roof, which is topped with three stone corniced stacks. The eaves are supported by paired brackets, while single brackets are found at the gable verges. The front facade consists of a five-window range with hornless 12-pane sash windows that have slate sills. The windows are framed by stucco flush surrounds and angle quoins.
At the center, there is a broad half-glazed door adorned with etched glass panels and an overlight that includes marginal glazing bars. A painted timber porch supported by four timber columns features a corniced flat roof and trellised sides. The uneven spacing of the window bays suggests that this may have originally been an older farmhouse with a service range that has been remodeled into a single long, nearly symmetrical front.
At the rear of the building, there is a three-window range on the right side, primarily featuring 12-pane sashes, while on the left side, there is a long southeast rear wing constructed of rubble stone, which includes a ridge stack and varied fenestration, mostly consisting of plastic windows. The porch is positioned at the angle of the main rear wall.
