Description
The Riverside Building at Middle Factory, Leri Mills, is a two-storey structure built from rubble stone and topped with a slate roof. The south front features five windows, with brick window heads and late sills. The upper windows are designed as three-light openings with thin timber mullions, although the two on the right have been lengthened. The ground floor has two-light windows, with the central window appearing to be in a blocked larger opening, and there is a door in the right bay. An additional window is located at the left end of the building. Outside, stone stairs wrap around the southwest angle, leading to a loft door at the west end. The northwest angle is rebated and includes a unique timber-framed and plaster-panelled upper wall that faces north in a set-back section. The main north front, which faces the river, has four windows with casement pairs featuring lattice-glazed leaded lights. The first floor has two lengthened windows on the left side. Additionally, a leat channel runs under the northwest corner of the building.
