Description
Tyrrel House is a two-storey building constructed from coursed rubble stone and topped with slate roofs. It features bracketed eaves and a red brick stack at the northern end. The house has a three-window range, similar in style to Nos 1-3 Tyrrel Place, but it is distinguished by its 4-pane sash windows on the first floor, which have brick heads and slate sills.
On the ground floor, there is a 6-pane shop window with a timber lintel to the left, a half-glazed door with an overlight and a brick head in the center, and a throughway to the right that is topped with a brick arch. The right jamb of the throughway, as well as the first-floor window above it, are part of the original end wall of No 3 Tyrrel Place. The northern end of the building has projecting stones that indicate the terrace was intended to extend further north.
