Description
No 1 Tyrrel Place is a two-storey building constructed from coursed rubble stone and topped with slate roofs. It features bracketed eaves and pale red brick stacks. The building is part of a six-window range that includes Nos 1-3, with Nos 1 and 2 being a mirrored pair built first, followed by No 3. At the northern end, Tyrrel House was added later, which has three windows. The building showcases horned 12-pane sash windows with slate sills and brick heads, along with doors that have overlights. There is a straight joint between Nos 2 and 3, as well as between No 3 and Tyrrel House.
No 1 specifically has a large 9-pane shop window with a timber lintel and a six-panel door. The south end wall is slate-hung, and there is a stack at the south end.
