Description
Dolgelynen is a building constructed from rubble stonework with raised pointing and features a modern slate roof with deep eaves. It is a single block positioned at right angles to the river, facing east. The building has two storeys and attics, originally designed with five window bays and a central entrance. There is now a 19th-century two-storey wing added to the front of the fifth bay. It has an external stack on the north gable end and another stack at the south end. The main entrance door is part-glazed and set back in an opening with a cambered head made of voussoirs. The windows are twelve-paned unhorned sash windows with wide boxes, although the window above the door has been blocked. There are two dormer windows with ornate openwork bargeboarded gables above the first and third bays from the south. The gable ends have stacks. The forward wing features irregularly placed twelve-paned horned sash windows and cusped bargeboards on the gable end. In front of the east elevation, there is a small garden enclosed by stone walls.
