Description

Tu-Hwnt-y'r-Bont is a building constructed of rubble with an old, graded rough-dressed slate roof. It features simple end stacks with cornices and plain louvres, with the stack on the right (northwest) being slightly taller. The entrance on the river side is off-centre to the left and has boarded stable doors, while a similar entrance on the right is blocked. There are 20th-century 12-pane casement windows with exposed, stopped-chamfered lintels flanking the entrance, along with a further square window to the far left. The roof has three rubble gabled dormers with similar casements, which were boarded up at the time of inspection in 1996. At the rear, there is a boarded entrance to the left and another window to the right.

The building has small single-storey outshuts on either side; the right outshut is semicircular with a small light at the front, while the left outshut is square with a similar light on the northwest side and a boarded entrance to the northeast. Inside, there are fireplaces at the gable ends of the large ground floor space, with the eastern fireplace being the primary one and the western one being a later addition. The eastern ceiling beam is stopped chamfered, along with some joists, while the remainder have been replaced.
