Description
Cefnmabws is a house with roughcast elevations and a slate roof, featuring tall rubble gable chimney stacks with stone tabling and drips, including a low corner stack at the rear left. The front of the house is three storeys high and has three bays, offset to the left. The central entrance consists of a 4-panel door with a marginally-glazed overlight, flanked by wide 16-pane horned sash windows. On the first floor, there are 12-pane horned sashes that are smaller and modified to the centre, while the second floor has a 6-pane window in the centre. The openings are surrounded by painted smooth render and have slate sills. To the right, there are two small 20th-century windows that light a later outshut. The rear outshut is two storeys high and features 20th-century glazing, except for an upper centre two-light 12-pane casement and a boarded door. There is a blocked attic light at the rubble left end.
Inside, the right-hand ground floor room has a wide fireplace with a boxed-in lintel and a modern grate, along with a cross-beam. A simple stick-baluster staircase leads to the upper floors. There is a six-panel door leading to the left room. The long outshut kitchen includes a bread oven that is served by the flue of the aforementioned fireplace.
