Description
Llugwy Lodge is a 19th-century building constructed from rendered and painted stone, featuring slate roofs with red clayware ridges and coped parapets with kneelers on the gable ends. The lodge is one storey high with attics and includes a stone chimney stack with a cornice head and four flues. It has an 'L'-shaped plan, with the main cross range facing south and a separately roofed porch located in the northwest re-entrant angle.
The ground floor showcases banded rustication up to the mid-wall string. There is a square-headed opening for the external entrance, which is framed by a three-centred moulded arch. To the left of the door on the west gable end, there is a notable oriel window with four facets, topped with a semi-conical slate roof and featuring tightly patterned glazing bars. On the north gable end, mirrored asymmetrically on the south facade, is a shallow square bay window with a hipped roof and similar glazing. The south front also includes a raised and gabled dormer window that provides light to the attic. A modern lean-to has been added to the east end.
