Description
Tithe Barn Cottages, located in Pennal, are a row of four to five cottages built from local rubble stonework and topped with a slate roof. The cottages are arranged in a bilaterally symmetrical pair, with Nos 2 and 3 forming the central units. No 1 is added to the eastern end, while No 4 includes an additional single bay cottage at the western end. Each cottage features unique details.
The single bay cottage has its entrance on the right, with a door that includes a four-panel light. It has a 20th-century 12-pane sash window on the ground floor and a 9-pane single sash window above. The window sills are painted slate. There is a partially external stack on the eastern gable end. The rear of the cottage has a door and a modern glazed cross window, along with a small four-pane window positioned above the rear door.
