Description
Tithe Barn Cottages, located in Pennal, is a row of four to five cottages built from local rubble stonework and topped with a slate roof. The cottages are arranged in a bilaterally symmetrical pair, with Nos 2 and 3 forming the central part. No 1 is added to the eastern end, while No 4 includes an additional single bay cottage on the western side. Each cottage has unique details.
No 2, which is the eastern side of the central pair, features an early 20th-century door with a glazed panel and overlight. To the left, there is a 12-paned sash window that has been replaced with uPVC, framed by a cut stone lintel with a square section label. The first floor also has a 12-paned sash window that has been replaced with uPVC. The stack at the eastern end of No 2 is rendered.
