Description
This is a K6-type square telephone call-box made of cast iron, dating from the reign of King George VI. It features a domed roof and four lunettes, each displaying embossed and unpierced crowns over painted opals. The box has raised surrounds with marginal bars on the horizontal glazing and a moulded plinth. The back of the box is plain and does not have a maker's nameplate, but it may have been produced by the Carron Foundry, similar to another box located at Cwrt, and includes symmetrical cable entries. The interior equipment has been modernised.
