Description
A two-storey house in quasi-coursed local shaley stone including two stone chimneys. Roof with small slates with tile ridge (uniform with two adjacent housesto right). Three windows above, strongly offset to the left, their heads more than a metre below the eaves; door and flanking windows below, aligned with the windows above. 16-pane windows of hornless sash type in exposed frames, of the same proportions above and below. Segmental stone arches, concrete sills. Modern semi-glazed front door with light side screens and canopy. At right, close to the adjacent cottage, is an entry with a boarded door and at high level a slate carrying the date 1857. Small modern first-floor window in gable end wall. Small modern rooflight.
The rear elevation is of three storeys, with two high level small-pane windows and rear door of entry. Later stone and slate lean-to at right, with a second lightly constructed lean-to adjacent.
