Description

Bodawel and Arwelfa A symmetrical pair of houses constituting a two-storey, four-window range in local brown shaley stone. Roof of small slates (uniform with the roof of Lloran House), tile ridge. Shared central stone chimney. 16-pane hornless-sash type windows in exposed frames, in openings with segmental stone arches and concrete sills; the ground and upper windows of the same proportions. The rhythm of the facade is interrupted by the large gap corresponding to the fireplace positions. Modern semi-glazed doors within lightly constructed open-fronted timber porches.

At rear the cottages are both of three storeys, each with a brick-fronted full-width rear gable; additional shared rear chimney in the valley between the rear extensions. 16-pane sash windows as at front to ground and upper storeys but of taller proportions; flanking staircase windows; basement door and window.
