Description
A pair of houses built in the early 19th century, located on South Church Street in Bakewell. The houses are constructed of dressed sandstone with a Welsh slate roof. They have a symmetrical facade with three windows on each floor. The ground floor features paired doorways in the centre, each with a four-panel door and a traceried fanlight with roundels. The door surrounds are raised ashlar with channelled Greek fret ornament and archivolts featuring raised keystones. The windows are 6/6 sashes on the ground floor and 3/6 sashes on the first floor, with projecting sills and plain lintels. A sill band runs along the first floor. Shaped kneelers are present on the ashlar gable copings, and the end stacks are rock-faced. The interior was not inspected.
