Description
This is an L-shaped section of garden wall located to the east of Butts House, dating from the 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of deeply-coursed sandstone with ashlar copings. The wall forms the north and east boundaries of the garden. The tallest section on the north side features an infilled 18th-century doorway with a flat arch and voussoirs. The wall curves to the south and includes a blocked round-arched doorway with imposts set in an ashlar surround. The wall extends approximately 50 meters to the south and is part of the enclosing boundary wall for Butts House.
