Description
Hanmer House, along with Enson House, is a pair of two-storey double-fronted houses that form a four-window range. They are built from local brown shaley stone and feature a small-slate roof, with Enson House's roof having been restored. The houses have three yellow-brick chimneys, one of which is shared at the center. Hanmer House, on the left, retains its original lower 16-pane hornless sash windows. The window openings, including those on the upper storey, are segmentally arched and have stone sills.
At the front, there are iron railings on a low stone wall, complemented by stone gate-piers. The upstairs windows have been replaced with modern ones within the original openings, and there is a large modern porch.
