Description
Enson House and Hanmer House are a pair of two-storey, double-fronted houses that form a four-window range. They are built from local brown shaley stone and feature a small-slate roof, which has been restored on Enson House. Both houses have three yellow-brick chimneys, with the central chimney shared between them. Hanmer House, located on the left, still has its original lower 16-pane hornless sash windows. The window openings, including those on the upper storey, are segmentally arched and have stone sills.
At the front, there are iron railings on a low stone wall, complemented by stone gate-piers. The houses have modern doors and windows fitted within the original openings, and there is a lightly constructed porch.
