Description
Bron Rhys is a two-unit house dating from the 18th century, featuring one and a half storeys. It has a timber frame constructed in square panels, resting on a stone plinth. The roof is covered with slate and includes an original brick chimney stack on the right and a later brick stack on the left. The front of the house has two windows, with dormers that have two-light casements. The two lower storey windows are fitted with two-light iron frame casements. The doorway, located at the extreme right, has a planked door with a glazed panel inserted. The rear wall features a single, centrally-placed two-light window in the upper storey and a similar window to the right in the lower storey. An early 20th-century brick lean-to has been added to the gable on the right. Although not accessible during the inspection in July-August 1996, it is reported to contain original timber-framed partitions.
