Tregynon School

Tregynon School is a building facing east towards the playground, featuring a large classroom designed in the Tudor-Gothic style, along with a smaller classroom to the north that is positioned at right angles behind it. The structure includes an entrance porch with an added lobby at the rear. It is constructed of rendered concrete painted white and topped with slate roofs. The main section has a four-bay south elevation characterized by stepped buttresses and two-light windows. The east elevation showcases a coped gable with the base of a bellcote on the ridge and a single lancet window below. The porch is offset to the right and features a cross moulded in concrete along with the words "Tregynon School" in black painted letters. The doorway has a pointed arch. Attached to the porch are 20th-century additions on both the left and right sides.

On the west elevation, there is a three-light window that has been boarded up, situated under a lancet arch. The lower north classroom is notable for its tall concrete stack with paired octagonal shafts and a moulded cap. The north side has stepped two-light windows, while the west side has a former three-light window that has been converted into a door, with a 20th-century addition to the east.

Inside the main classroom, there is a concrete fireplace with a raking hood, supported by concrete corbels that hold up an arch-braced roof, along with splayed window reveals. The smaller room contains a simpler fireplace with a concrete overmantle. The doorways throughout have chamfered surrounds and boarded doors. In the porch, concrete roof slabs are visible beneath the slates.
