Description
The School House is a one and a half storey house built of unreinforced concrete, featuring Gothic details and a slate roof. The front has three windows in scribed render, with a cross-gable on the left and dormers in the centre and on the right. The gables are coped and topped with pendant finials, and there are moulded eaves bands. The lower storey has three-light round-headed windows flanking a central gabled porch that has a pointed arch and a crocket finial. In the upper storey, there are similar two-light windows. A tall stack with paired octagonal flues is offset to the right, accompanied by a modern stack to the left, and the roof is adorned with crested ridge tiles. The side walls feature two-light windows similar to those at the front. At the rear, there is a single-storey projection on the left and a two-storey wing on the right, which has a lean-to added between them, both of which contain windows similar to those at the front. The building was not accessible at the time of inspection in July-August 1996.
