Description
Maes Caled is a 1.5-storey building featuring a three-window front with an advanced gable on the left side. The structure is constructed of coursed rubble masonry and has a moderately pitched slate roof with deep eaves and verges, as well as exposed purlins. It includes stone stacks and water tabling.
The first-floor window in the advanced gable has a plain returned label over a deep stone lintel and features a two-light casement. Below, there is a similar detail for the three-light casement window. On the right side of the first floor, there are two raking dormers, each with two-light casement windows. The original fenestration is set below the eaves and mirrors the ground floor windows, which also have stone lintels. The central doorway features a stone lintel and a modern door.
Additionally, there is a label over the casement window on the left gable end wall, which is situated above a modern ground floor extension. Inside, the building has roughly chamfered transverse ceiling beams.
