Description
Cefnllydan is a one and a half storey house built of unreinforced concrete, featuring a main range with a rear wing. The front has three windows and is finished with scribed render, showcasing gabled outer bays and a central dormer. The left bay forms the gable of the rear wing. The house has a slate roof with a central brick chimney. The windows are mullioned with timber frames, consisting of two-light windows in the dormer and gables of the outer bays, and three-light windows in the lower storey.
The centrally located porch is gabled and has a chamfered doorway, accessed by two steps. The front door is ledged and battened. To the left, the rear wing has a scribed render lateral wall, a concrete lean-to porch, and a ledged and battened back door. The rear of the house features timber framing that is largely hidden behind weatherboards, with small two-light casements in the gables and central dormer. Behind the main range is a random rubble lean-to with a slate roof, and behind the rear wing is a random rubble lean-to bakehouse with a brick stack.
The property was not accessible during the inspection in July-August 1996.
