Description
The gate piers, walls, and railings at the former north driveway to Harpton Court date from the mid-19th century and feature a classical design that sweeps in towards the driveway entrance. On the east side of the drive, a low screen wall with railings extends forward from the lodge to meet a plain ashlar pier topped with a cornice. A similar design is found on the west side, which has twin piers and a rubble screen wall at the outer end. The walls are topped with railings that curve back to meet twin octagonal gate piers, each adorned with ball finials. The original gate is missing.
