Description

The gates, piers, and railings to Hartham House date from the mid to late 19th century. They feature ornate wrought iron carriage gates topped with cresting and an armorial panel, positioned between tall ashlar panelled piers that have cornices and ball finials. On either side of the carriage gates, there are pedestrian gates that also have ornate cresting and shorter outer piers similar to the central ones. Additionally, there are lengths of railings set on a low coped ashlar wall, which is finished with terminal ashlar piers, cornices, and ball finials.
