Description

The gate piers, gates, and railings at Linley Hall are likely from the 18th century, though they were rearranged later. The gate piers are made of rusticated ashlar and are square in shape, featuring moulded plinths and bracketed friezes at the top. The ornamental wrought iron gates have an elaborate scrolled overthrow and anthemion decoration in the center, with details highlighted in gold leaf. Flanking the gates are spear-headed railings on a low stone reverse quadrant wall, which ends in rectangular piers topped with bracketed capping.
