Description
Linley Lodge is an estate lodge dating from the early 19th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed from coursed limestone blocks and features a slate hipped roof with integral lateral stacks that have ashlar shafts and capping. The building has a rectangular plan with a projection to the north and stands two storeys high, with two bays on the south side. The early 19th-century windows are multi-paned casements, while the later 19th-century replacements, located on the ground floor, all have stone cills and bracketed hoods. There is a single-storey projection to the north that includes a loggia beneath wide projecting eaves, and an inserted glazed entrance porch is situated at the angle between this projection and the main block.
