Description

Avenue Lodge is an estate lodge built in the early 19th century, with later additions and alterations. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features machine-tiled hipped roofs, along with a prominent 20th-century integral red brick chimney. It has a roughly L-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall. The east side has two bays, ending to the south in an angled section that includes three windows with multi-paned 19th-century casements. There are entrances under 20th-century porches on the east side and at the angle where the two-bay range meets the west side.
