Description
Church Lodge is an estate lodge built in the early 19th century and later extended, originally for the Owston Hall estate. The building is constructed of painted rubble and features a 20th-century tile roof. It is a single storey with three bays and has a double-depth plan. The central doorway has a pointed panel above a wooden door, which is set beneath a hoodmould. On either side of the doorway are two-light windows with Y-tracery casements and pointed heads. The lodge has twin hipped roofs with a small central ridge stack. On the left side, the windows mirror those on the front and flank a recess that contains a pointed double door. The right side has a window that serves only the rear part of the building.
