Description
Stableyard Cottages is a row of three cottages built in the mid-19th century, with a 20th-century addition at the rear. They were constructed for the Owston Hall estate and are made of rubble magnesian limestone, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a layout of one window, two windows, and two windows on each floor. The large quoins add to their architectural character.
On the ground floor, there are three-light, mullioned windows set in double-chamfered surrounds with hoodmoulds, and to the right of windows one, three, and five, there are six-panel doors in similar surrounds. The first floor has two-light windows that match those below. The roof is hipped and has three yellow-brick ridge stacks.
