Description

This is a cartshed dating from the early 19th century, built for the Owston Hall estate. It is constructed of brick and rubble limestone with a slate roof. The structure is single-storey and L-shaped, featuring 2- and 3-bay arcades that face the internal angle. Each bay has a round brick-arched opening, which is separated by square brick piers on a stone plinth. There are boarded doors in bays 2 and 3 of the 3-bay section. A brick eaves band runs along the hipped roof. Inside, the building has pattern book king-post trusses. It is part of the Home Farm complex.
