Description
East Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early to mid-19th century for the Owston Hall estate. It features a cement-rendered exterior and a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has four bays, with an outshut at the rear right. The farmhouse displays exposed quoins and has a six-panelled door in the second bay, set in a quoined surround with a hoodmould above. Flanking this door are three-light double-chamfered mullioned windows, each with its own hoodmould. The fourth bay includes a doorway to the left of a two-light window, which shares a hoodmould with the adjacent window. On the first floor, there are three-light windows corresponding to the ground floor in bays one to three. The roof is hipped and features a rebuilt brick ridge stack above the door, along with a similar stack on the right side. The left return has a first-floor window that matches the front.
