Description

The Malthouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse with a former malthouse attached. It is constructed of random limestone rubble with a machine-tiled roof, projecting eaves, and end stacks, including a prominent ridge stack to the range behind. The two--storey, three-window front features 16-pane glazing bar sash windows with flat arches. The central entrance has a six-panel door with a wreathed radiating fanlight, now protected by a 20th-century timber porch. A malthouse is attached at a right angle to the left, with a slightly projecting gable and a range of openings to the front; the original malting floors have been removed.
