Hartham Farmhouse is a mid 18th century farmhouse built of rubble stone with a stone tiled roof, featuring coped gables and end wall stacks. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a four-window arrangement of flush unmoulded two-light windows, which have flush ashlar panels below and dripstones above three of the ground floor windows. The entrance door is set in a raised moulded surround and has a hood supported by brackets. The farmhouse includes a plinth, flush quoins, and two flat dormers.
At the rear, there are twin gables with mullion windows and dripstones, featuring two two-light windows in the attic, two two-light windows, one single light, and two two-light windows on the first floor, as well as a large segmental arched opening with a door and flanking windows on the ground floor. The north-west wing has a one-window range of two-light bead-moulded windows on the west side, a coped north gable with an attic two-light window, and a single storey range beyond.
Attached to the east side is a slightly canted two-storey dairy wing. The south front has a two-window range set to the left, with unmoulded two-light windows above and a door with one window below. The north side features a stable with a loft at the left end, where the door is flanked by single lights and has an opening above it.
