Description

Mountjoy Farmhouse is a mid-18th century farmhouse constructed of squared rubble stone. It has a 19th-century slate roof and tile ridge, with coped gables and end wall stacks. The building is two storeys and has a three-window front. The windows are flush cyma-moulded mullion windows; the centre first-floor window is two-light, while the side windows are three-light. A 20th-century stone porch shelters the front doorway. Stone bands run along the first floor and eaves. A three-light mullion window and a door in a chamfered surround are located on the rear ground floor, alongside a two-light first-floor window. A small ovolo-moulded attic window is set into the left side of the north end wall, with two-light first and ground floor windows to the right. A rear outshut extends from the rear wall.
