Description

Garden Cottage is a row of three cottages, now two, dating from the 18th century and early 19th century. The cottages are constructed from rubble stone and feature a medium pitch double Roman tiled roof, with coped gables and stacks located at the end walls and ridge between the houses. The building is two storeys high.

No. 4 has a two-light chamfered flush mullion window on each floor and a door in a chamfered surround, which appears to be early 19th century. There is also a two-light bead-moulded window on the first floor of the west end wall. No. 5 has a four-window range with two-light mullion windows. From the left, there is an ovolo-moulded window with a plain chamfered window above, followed by a plain chamfered window that has replaced a door. Next is a door with an ovolo-moulded window above, and finally, a cyma-moulded three-light window with a cyma-moulded two-light window above it.
