Description
The Croft is an 18th-century house that has been altered. It is constructed from rubble stone and features stone tiled roofs, coped gables, and end wall stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a double fronted design. Originally, it had stone-mullion windows, but these have been modified to include 19th-century sash windows.
On the first floor, there are two 4-pane sashes; one is set in an ovolo-moulded frame with a hoodmould, while the other is in a bead-moulded frame with a hoodmould, both of which were formerly 2-light windows. The ground floor has a central cyma-moulded flush doorcase with a hood on brackets, which is obscured by a lean-to porch. To the left, there is a broad 6-pane window that has been cut down from a 3-light mullion window, complete with a hoodmould above it. To the right, there is a 19th-century 16-pane sash window in a flush surround.
Attached to the west end of the house are two outbuildings made of rubble stone, both with stone tiled roofs. The larger outbuilding has a door and a window and is connected to the house, while the lower range is located at the west end.
