Description

School Cottage is a late 17th-century house that has been altered over time. It is constructed of rubble stone with a stone-tiled roof. The house is one storey high with an attic, and its gables face north and south. The north gable has two original two-light windows with ovolo-mullions and hoods, although one ground-floor window has been blocked. The east end wall contains two 20th-century mullion windows. The south side features two 20th-century mullion windows in the gable, a 20th-century door with a hood supported by brackets, and one original two-light window with ovolo-mullions. A two-storey, 20th-century extension is located to the southwest, featuring a stone-tiled roof, a carriage arch at its base, and a dormer gable. The building is listed for group value only.
