Description

A pair of houses dating from the 18th century, with one house dated 1722, constructed of rubble stone with a stone tiled roof to Sunnyside and Bridgwater tiles to Stonecrop. The houses are two storeys and have a two-window range to each. Sunnyside features a coped east gable, a brick stack to the west, bead-moulded two-light mullion windows – two to the first floor and one below – a 19th-century doorway and a single-light window. A 20th-century lean-to extension is present on the east wall. Stonecrop also has coped gables, with an east end saddlestone and a west end stack. It has recessed cyma-moulded two-light windows, two above two, with a continuous hoodmould below, and a central moulded stone doorcase bearing the scratched inscription "L W E 1722.”
