Description
The gate piers and walls at the entrance to South Drive are early 19th century structures made of sandstone ashlar. There are six gate piers that feature round shapes topped with low domed coping. Four of the piers have cornices and fluted necking, which create entrances for both carriages and pedestrians. The piers at the ends of the quadrant walls have a band and flat coping. This entrance was formerly the main access point to Woolsington Hall.
