Description
The stables and coachhouse, located north of Woolsington Hall, date from the late 19th century or early 20th century. The coachhouse is built of ashlar, while the stables are made of brick, topped with a graduated Lakeland slate roof. The structure consists of three ranges surrounding a courtyard. The coachhouse has one high storey and three bays, flanked by two-bay stables that feature three-bay projecting wings. It includes three high carriage arches, with lunettes that have radial glazing bars and a sill band above. The top pediment features a painted clock face dated 1901. The arched stable entrances are adorned with recessed brick side pilasters that support ventilator bands and lunettes above. All doors are boarded, and the roofs are hipped and low-pitched.
