Description
1 Berriew Street is a three-storey building constructed of painted brick with rendered dressings that include angle quoins and a moulded cornice. It features a slate roof with axial and end wall stacks set on brick bases. The Berriew Street façade has a two-window range, while the longer Severn Street side has a three-window range. The ground floor likely retains a mid to late 19th-century public house front, characterized by heavy panelled pilasters and a continuous moulded fascia, with an entrance located at the corner. The Berriew Street elevation consists of three bays, featuring paired round-headed windows to the right of the corner doorway, followed by narrower round-arched windows. The return elevation to Severn Street includes a single bay with triple round-arched windows and a round-headed two-pane sash window to the left. The upper windows are four-pane sashes with flat arched heads, and there is a continuous, bracketed sill band on the second floor.
