Description

26 Broad Street is a building likely constructed around 1830, similar in design to Nos 24-25 but shorter. It has probably been used for commercial purposes since it was built, with the ground floor being reconstructed in the mid-20th century.

The exterior features lined-out render over brick and a slate roof with an end wall stack. The building stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The ground floor has a modern shop front, while the upper storeys are defined by outer and central pilasters. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows with a continuous sill band, and the eaves feature 6-pane sashes.

This building is part of a cohesive group of early 19th-century commercial structures located in the town center.
