Description
29 Broad Street is a Grade II listed building dating from the early 19th century. The exterior is constructed of brick and features a slate roof with an end wall stack positioned towards the rear. The building stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. To the left, there is a round-arched passage entry, and the early 20th-century shop front includes a recessed central door flanked by windows divided by a central mullion. The shop front has a plain fascia and simply moulded pilasters on either side. The first floor features 16-pane sash windows with flat-arched gauged brick heads, while the ground floor has wide 12-pane sashes beneath a moulded eaves band. The building retains its character as an early 19th-century structure, enhanced by the distinctive early 20th-century shop front. It is part of a group of commercial and domestic buildings located in the centre of the town.
