Description

62 Mardol is a Grade II listed commercial building in Shrewsbury, likely originally a shop and dwelling, dating from around 1800 but probably incorporating an earlier structure. It is built of brick and has a plain tiled roof. The building stands three storeys high and features a narrow two-window range. A shop front has been added, which is continuous with the adjacent No. 63. To the left, there is a narrow door leading to a passage. Each floor above the shop front has flush-framed 12-pane sash windows with flat-arched stuccoed heads. The building is topped with a modillion eaves cornice, and the steep pitch of the roof suggests the possibility of an earlier core.
