Description
The Former White Hart Public House is a building located in Shrewsbury, primarily dating from the early 18th century, although it incorporates elements from an earlier structure. The exterior features stucco over brick, with a possible timber frame, and a plain-tiled roof. The building stands three storeys tall with an attic dormer and has a two-window range. The ground floor is rusticated stucco, featuring a doorway on the left and a wide window on the right. The upper storeys have angle quoins, with two flush-framed twelve-pane sash windows on the first floor, which have a continuous sill band, and a single fixed light twelve-pane window above. There is a string course separating the storeys. The building projects forward of its neighbour, and in the small return, remnants of a moulded bressumer from former jettying can be seen. The roof includes a hipped dormer and gable end stacks.
