Description

No. 11 Mardol is a shop that was formerly a dwelling, dated 1700 but incorporating a 16th-century structure. The building features stucco over brick with partial timber-frame elements internally and has a plain tiled roof. It stands three storeys high with an attic dormer and a two-window range. The shop front was inserted in the late 20th century, while each floor above has two-pane sash windows. Notable architectural details include angle quoins, a coved eaves cornice, and a single hipped gabled dormer in the roof, along with a gable end stack. Inside, the rear wing contains significant remains of the earlier timber-framed structure, featuring a queen strut and collar roof.
