Description

58 and 59 Mardol is a shop and public house dating from around 1800. The building is constructed of brick and features a plain tiled roof. It stands three storeys high and has a four-window range. The shop fronts have been inserted and include a continuous late 19th-century fascia supported by console brackets. The upper windows are 12-pane sash windows, with flat-arched stuccoed heads on the first floor and flat-arched brick heads with stressed stuccoed keys on the second floor. The building is finished with a modillion eaves cornice and has an axial stack.
